Photographers by day, chili cook-off winners by night

Technically, we won the chili cook-off by day as well, but that didn't have a good ring to it. Brad and I entered the Gold Star chili cook-off yesterday. We entered with our Chipotle veggie chili and won second place! Brad's name was mentioned on Fox 19 news and I was shown serving up chili on WLWT 5. Lol! I can't say I looked very good, but it was fun to be on tv anyway. For the most part, we'll stick to being photographers, but we are both excited to have placed in our first chili cook-off.

The Knot Best of Weddings named Photosmith a 2011 Top Pick

We were excited to hear that we had been named a Top Pick in the Knot's Best of Weddings. It is an honor that really means something to us, because it was our clients that chose us. We feel so fortunate to have been in the photography business for over twenty years and are so grateful to all of our clients who give us the opportunity to be a part of such special times in their lives. Everyone at Photosmith, including our kitties, Yoshi and Jasper, want to give a big shout out to everyone who keeps us going, everyone who took the time to give us a good review, voted or referred us, everyone who let us photograph the people and events that were the most special to you. We truly are grateful to all of you and wish you the best of everything in 2011!

Lauryn

Lauryn came in a couple of weeks ago in her favorite pink clothes with peace signs. When I photograph children, I like capturing the fun part of being a kid in addition to the studio portraits. Before Lauryn left, I photographed her in her coat just being silly. What a cutie! Here are a few pics from her session.

Janelle and Robert's New Year's Day Wedding

Janelle and Robert started out the new year by getting married. The ceremony was held and Bethany Chapel and the reception at the Phoenix. We took some pictures around Garfield Park, too, since the weather wasn't too bad (and by that, I mean not too bad for Cincinnati winters). Light sabers appeared suddenly while we were in Garfield Park. I guess the Force brought them there, and that was good because they made for some fun pictures. Here are a few pics from their wedding day.

Everyone at Photosmith wishes Janelle and Robert a Happy New Year and we hope that the Force will always be with them.
